Digital Creation Technology - Fall ‘25
Over the course of the Fall ‘25 term of the University of Oregon’s Master of Sports Product Design program, I got the chance to become more familiar with 3D software such as Rhinoceros and KeyShot. Throughout the course of this term, we completed exercises that challenged us to work with NURBS and SubD to replicate wearable technology, and more importantly, footwear!
For our final project in this course, we had the opportunity to use the skills we learned during the term to model and render a shoe that exists on the current market. This term, I also took a studio class where I researched the materials, manufacturing, and innovation that is involved with Triple Jump spikes for Track & Field. To go hand-in-hand with my studio, I chose to model the Adidas ADIZERO Triple Jump/Pole Vault spike.
Below are some of my final renderings in KeyShot, aiming to match the colorway of the upcoming 2026 release for this spike.
